An array of flowers surround a woman set in a pose of thoughtful quietude. There is a sense of vintage nostalgia to the scene, a timelessness which takes us back to the days when the room in which the woman stands was not called a bedroom but a boudoir.

It even sounds more romantic – “boudoir.” Perhaps because it’s a French word, which always sound more romantic than their English counterparts.
