Light permeates, emanates and reflects from nearly every surface of our visible surroundings; light creates the color spectrum from which we perceive our world. Negative space, the space between objects, is also an unalterable facet of our physical existence; it is how we define and measure our environment. These creative works, on paper or canvas, focus on 'drilling down' to the essence of a subject, using intimate close-ups, or panoramic perspectives, to examine how light and space combine to create some of the images we recognize from this lovely planet on which we live. more
